The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root "Yuj" meaning to Join or to Union. As such Yoga leads to the pathway of joining the individual self with the universal self. Yoga is not a religion but it deals with the "Science of Spirituality". Yoga identifies each person as the one having a personal relationship with God. The Yoga intensifies ones inward love for the Supreme. Yoga is one of the India’s most famous techniques, where thousands and thousands of saints practiced and attained Liberation. Yoga, it is not merely a set of Yogaasanas or Pranayama or Mudras or Meditation. But it is a science of Holistic Living consisting of a holistic value system featured by Health and Wealth, Bliss and Poise, Harmony and Efficiency. The Great Saint Patanjali says Yoga as “Yoga Chitta Vritti Nirodah” Which means that Yoga is a Conscious Process of Gaining Mastery Over the Mind. Yoga leads us to attain Sound Health, Strong Mind, Pure Intellect and Spiritual growth simultaneously. Yoga is a life of Self-discipline based on the principle of “Simple Living and High Thinking”.
