Prana Vital Energy or Life Energy         Ayama Expansion / Extension

           Pranayama means the expansion of the vital energy or life force through restraint of breath. It is the science of regulating & control over the life energy.

            The goal of life is to manifest the divinity in us, the process of manifestation, a scientific method is pranayama.

            “When the breath wanders, the mind is also unsteady

                                   But when the breath is still, so is the mind.” 

-         Hatha Yoga Pradipika.

The regulation of breath helps the practitioner to attain the steadiness of mind. Similarly by controlling the mind prana is also controlled.

 Benefits:

            Physical:

·        The anabolic and catabolic processes of the body are brought to

          equilibrium.

·        It makes the body light and the eyes shiny.

·        It removes the drowsiness from the body.

·        Rajas (activity) and Tamas (inertia) qualities are destroyed.
